To launch LiveTiles Bots I led the concept, design and production of key activations including onstage presentation at Microsoft Inspire Las Vegas , a 3D animated spot and a playful convention booth .
Taking centre-stage with Microsoft
To help launch the LiveTiles Bots product in Las Vegas we teamed with Microsoft’s Cororate VP for Partner Channel, Gavriella Schuster, to showcase her personalised LiveTiles-based bot to 15,000 attendees. LiveTiles sponsored a Women in Tech event with a special guest appearance by CEO Satya Nadella. LiveTiles were presented with the 2018 Microsoft US Partner Award for Modern Workplace Transformation.

LiveTiles wanted to go big with the launch of their newest product LiveTiles Bots at Microsoft’s marquee events: Inspire in Las Vegas and Ignite in Orlando . We were asked to devise creative solutions that focussed on a message of human-centred-tech in a way that was memorable and stood out in the crowd of vendors at the convention.

With bots our focus, we were asked to create a booth for Microsoft Ignite with a physical robot that would act as a 15’ landmark. We took the creative opportunity to give this robot a human persona through a fully animated promotional spot. “Zed” would help dispel misconceptions around the term ‘bot’ while being a comedic counterpoint to the utilitarian product.
As a towering land-mark at the convention the ZED sculpture drew in attendees and became a valuable conversation starter. The booth was zoned for a range of interaction modes with dedicated demo screens, a concierge bar, and informal lounge areas.
Based on the company’s brand mark we applied a polygon motif to our booth design, character design and and animated environment. The theming of the booth focussed around humanising tech adding tactility and tranquility through the use of foliage and natural look surfaces. This styling was a key differentiator with the high tech look of our competitor exhibitors.

With a theme of “humanising tech” we gave our booth a utopian feel, drawing attention with our 20 ft bot mascot ‘ZED’
